Quantum Tomogra­phy Methods

This is the process of recon­s­truc­ting the unknown state of a quantum system or the opera­tion of a quantum gate. By performing many diffe­rent measu­re­ments on identi­cal copies of a state, resear­chers can “map out” the full density matrix, though it is compu­ta­tio­nally expen­sive as the system grows.
