Academia
Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA, Quantum Computing Team
With its two focus areas, quantum-assisted machine learning and quantum simulation, the group investigates industry relevant applications and methods in order to support early transfer into broad industrial use. The main focus is on the development and advancement of quantum algorithms, with particular consideration of current hardware progress.
Research
- Machine learning for and with quantum computing
- Quantum simulation of quantum mechanical systems
Activities
Competence Center for Quantum Computing Baden Württemberg (KQCBW): At the KQCBW, several Fraunhofer institutes and research partners pool their expertise for the development and application of quantum computers.
AutoQML: AutoQML enables low-threshold access to quantum computing-based AI solutions. The open framework was developed within the project of the same name.
H2Giga – Degrad-El³: As part of this project, quantum computing is investigated for lifetime analysis of electrolyzers. The project is part of the H2Giga flagship initiative.
sQUlearn: sQUlearn is a user-friendly library for quantum machine learning. The package was specifically designed for seamless integration into conventional tools.
