DLR Quantum Computing Initiative (DLR QCI) · Innovation Center Ulm
The DLR Quantum Computing Initiative (DLR QCI) brings together research, industry, and start-ups to jointly develop quantum computers, manufacturing technologies, and relevant application use cases. For this purpose, the DLR QCI provides high quality clean rooms, laboratories, and office spaces at two innovation centers in Ulm and Hamburg to support a strong quantum computing ecosystem.

Activities
- 17 hardware projects for the development of quantum computers based on different technological approaches: ion traps, neutral atoms, photons, solid-state spins, NV centers, and complementary approaches.
- 25 DLR projects and 40 industry projects for the practical development of relevant use cases for quantum computers.
