Services
- Neutral Atom Sources: Specialized ovens for generating highly pure neutral atomic beams, whose atoms serve as qubits in quantum computers, as highly sensitive sensing elements in quantum sensors, and as reference systems for high precision atomic clocks. Ensembles of neutral atoms also enable the experimental investigation of quantum mechanical properties of solid-state materials.
- Low Temperature Scanning Tunneling and Atomic Force Microscopy: High resolution microscopy systems for the investigation of surfaces, nanostructures, and quantum systems under ultra high vacuum and low temperature conditions. The combination of Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) enables the analysis of electronic, structural, and magnetic properties down to the atomic scale.
- Ultra High Vacuum Substrate Preparation: Comprehensive expertise and customized solutions for sample preparation and characterization. This includes cleaning, annealing, and coating processes, as well as the development of complete preparation systems for the most demanding research and development applications.

Erbium Atom Sources for the University of Tübingen
For a quantum computing experiment using neutral erbium atoms in optical tweezers and a 4 K environment to realize highly coherent quantum processors.
Dysprosium Atom Source for Heidelberg University
CreaTec atom source for the generation of quantum degenerate dysprosium gases for the investigation of dipolar quantum matter, supersolids, and their structural phase transitions.
