TECHNOSEUM – State Museum of Technology and Labour in Mannheim

The TECHNOSEUM – State Museum of Technology and Labour in Mannheim plays a central role in education and outreach, connecting research, schools, and the public. Its activities focus on the development of accessible experiments, educational materials, teacher training programs, and mobile demonstrators related to quantum physics and quantum technologies. The goal is to communicate current developments in second generation quantum technologies in a clear, engaging, and practical way, to spark interest among young people, and to support multipliers in effectively conveying this field of knowledge.

Services

  • Science Communication and Outreach in Quantum Technologies The TECHNOSEUM creates engaging, hands-on, and dialogue-oriented approaches to quantum physics and quantum technologies for the general public, making current developments in second generation quantum technologies visible and accessible.
  • Development of Accessible Experiments and Educational Materials The TECHNOSEUM develops practical experiments, demonstrators, and educational materials to make the fundamentals of quantum physics and the key operating principles of quantum technologies tangible, understandable, and accessible through hands-on experimentation.
  • School Education and Professional Development The TECHNOSEUM designs and delivers educational programs and training courses for schools, teachers, and other educational stakeholders to support the practical teaching of quantum physics and quantum technologies in both formal and informal learning environments.
