Company
Advanced Quantum GmbH
Advanced Quantum is a spin-off from the 3rd Physical Institute of the University of Stuttgart. The interdisciplinary team develops quantum sensors and quantum computers based on defect centers for applications in research, industry, and education. Key areas include magnetic field sensing, materials testing, and modular teaching systems. In addition, we provide development kits and custom electronics to support development and integration, enabling rapid implementation of application scenarios.
Services
- Modular NV teaching systems for education and industry
- Customized solutions with quantum sensors (e.g. diamond NV centers)
- Control and optical solutions up to complete systems for the use and characterization of spin qubits in diamond and silicon carbide
Activities
Materials testing on bridges: In collaboration with MPA Stuttgart (Material Testing) a quantum sensor-based method was developed that enables more sensitive testing of prestressing steel and corrosion and is designed to be robust for harsh construction site environments.
DLR project KompaQD: Development of a compact two-qubit quantum computer based on silicon carbide, enabling mobile operation without cryogenic technology.
BMBF flagship project NeuroQ: Development of control electronics and signal generation for diamond sensors with integrated interfaces for controlling exoskeletons.
NV teaching systems for universities: ODMR-based complete systems for education in quantum sensing and quantum technology, deployed at universities worldwide.
