Advan­ced Quantum GmbH

Advan­ced Quantum is a spin-off from the 3rd Physi­cal Insti­tute of the Univer­sity of Stutt­gart. The inter­di­sci­pli­nary team develops quantum sensors and quantum compu­ters based on defect centers for appli­ca­ti­ons in research, indus­try, and educa­tion. Key areas include magne­tic field sensing, materi­als testing, and modular teaching systems. In addition, we provide develo­p­ment kits and custom electro­nics to support develo­p­ment and integra­tion, enabling rapid imple­men­ta­tion of appli­ca­tion scenarios.

Activities

Materi­als testing on bridges: In colla­bo­ra­tion with MPA Stutt­gart (Material Testing) a quantum sensor-based method was develo­ped that enables more sensi­tive testing of prestres­sing steel and corro­sion and is designed to be robust for harsh construc­tion site environments.

DLR project KompaQD: Develo­p­ment of a compact two-qubit quantum compu­ter based on silicon carbide, enabling mobile opera­tion without cryoge­nic technology.

BMBF flagship project NeuroQ: Develo­p­ment of control electro­nics and signal genera­tion for diamond sensors with integra­ted inter­faces for control­ling exoskeletons.

NV teaching systems for univer­si­ties: ODMR-based complete systems for educa­tion in quantum sensing and quantum techno­logy, deployed at univer­si­ties worldwide.
