The Department of Execution Environments at the DLR Institute for AI Safety focuses on the secure implementation of AI methods on novel computing systems and their use to extend the capabilities of AI. Our core expertise lies in the interdisciplinary integration of diverse hardware resources, including quantum computers, embedded devices, and high performance computing systems, with emerging AI approaches such as tensor networks and neuromorphic methods, as well as their deployment in application-driven contexts.
